My family's own agent.
Hudhud runs our family’s day to day, from a Telegram chat. The calendar, the shopping list, the family wiki. It reads the morning mail and has a weather briefing ready before anyone’s up. It speaks German and Turkish, and switches to match whoever it’s talking to.
Two rules are fixed. Family data never leaves the box. And every problem it solves once gets saved as a skill, so it heals itself and the next time is faster. No SaaS, no vendor lock-in. It’s open source and runs on my own VPS.
Under the hood it’s the Hermes agent and Python, with a stack of Markdown skills on a cron. Mail over IMAP, the shopping list through Bring!. Next comes the smart home and a weekly shop that fills itself. One day it picks up the phone so I don’t have to call the pediatrician.
Hudhud is also how I dogfood. The architecture that looks after my family is the one I learn for business. Earn trust with the people closest to me, then earn it everywhere else.
